'hit it off + with someone = (~와) 죽이 맞다, 사이좋게 지내다'라는 의미로 주로 만나자마자, 대화를 나누자마자 금방 죽이 잘 맞거나 친해지는 경우에 사용한다.

[캠브리지] to be friendly with each other immediately
[콜린스] If two people hit it off, they like each other and become friendly as soon as they meet
[롱맨] if two people hit it off, they like each other as soon as they meet
